About the Trees
Ponderosa Pine: Ponderosa Pines are extremely fire resistant and can survive even if all their needles have been burned off. These trees have clumps of long needles and are clad in bark that splits into large plates. Able to live over 600 years, Ponderosas can grow to be 130ft tall.
Coast Redwood: California’s best-known tree, Redwoods are the tallest trees in the world. The tallest reaches 380ft, 75ft above the Statue of Liberty.
